How to use the form counter
We’re excited to announce that you can now add a numbering sequence to your forms. In the forms library, select which form you would like to add a counter to. In the right hand “root properties” menu, select “Form Auto Numbering”. You can select a numbering counter that already exists, or create a new one. In this example, let's create a new one.
Give the counter a name, note the initial counter number, enter in the time zone and toggle on or off the “Reset on prefix change”. If this toggle is on, your counter will restart any time the prefix changes. For example if you are counting by month, any time the month changes, the number will go back to 1. Toggle this off if you want the counter to continue indefinitely. Enter the counter padding. Then select your prefix. If you want text prior to the number, use square brackets and then enter your required variables. Wombat recognizes year, month, day, hours, minutes, and seconds. When all looks good, click create.
You can edit this counter by clicking the “edit this counter” link if required. Click save and publish.
When the form is filled out, you will see the counter in the top right corner. Under form submissions, you can filter by form number.
To manage form counters, click on Admin, then counters. Here you are able to see all active form counters where you can edit or delete. You can also create new ones directly from this screen. Note that if a counter is in use, it can not be deleted until it is removed from the form.
