How to use inspection questions

This video is going to show you how to use the inspection question widget in the form builder.

In this example we are going to create a Site Inspection Checklist.

  1. Click Forms library in the left-hand navigation and select Add new.

  2. Enter in the title and description and click create.

  3. Add a workflow step and name the section. We are going to add inspector name, inspection date and site name before we add the inspection questions.

  4. Then select widgets and add an inspection question.

  5. Enter the question in the field label. And turn on the required toggles.

  6. In this example, we will make it required, allow file attachments, comments, and action creation which will enable a corrective action to be added to the question.

  7. In the Allowed corrective action drop down, select which corrective action template you’d like to display.

    • Leaving it blank will allow the user to select from all the available corrective action templates.

  8. Select one of the prebuilt question options.

    • Below you’re able to change the label and color or add additional options by selecting the plus icon.

  9. To add another inspection question, you can select inspection question in the builder or to add another question that has the same field properties as the first.

    • You can copy it by highlighting it on your keyboard, selecting control c and pasting with control I if you’re on a PC. Or command c and pasting with command I if you’re on a mac.

  10. Then change the field label.

  11. When all looks good, click save and publish.

    • Now when this form is being filled out, you’ll see the option to add a file, comment, or corrective action.
