Document Level Permissions

You can now set permissions in the Documents Library. Permissions can be set at the folder level or for a particular document.

In this example we are going to edit permissions for an existing document.

  1. To do so, highlight the document and click the three dot icons.

  2. Click edit document. An access controls pop up will now display.

  3. Click the plus icon.

    • You can set permissions for users, roles, and or security profiles. When setting permissions, you have two choices.

    • The View permission gives access to the selected users, roles, and security profiles. And makes it hidden for everyone else.

    • The hidden permission hides the document or folder for the selected users, roles, and security profiles. And makes it visible for everyone else.

It's important to note, anyone with admin access will always be able to see all Documents and folders.

Wombat will always give a user the most access it can by combining all of their permission across all of their Roles, Profiles, and individual permissions.

In this example, we want to make this document only visible for the management team. To do so, click roles, select the management team and change the access to view.

This document will now only display in the Document Library for the management team and be hidden for everyone else.
